Painting in acrylics with Caroline Cattermull

In this acrylic painting workshop you’ll focus on how to break down a subject into essential geometric or basic shapes, experimenting with minimising both detail and brush strokes. You will learn to choose areas of a painting to render in a more realistic fashion, thereby leading the viewer’s eye to these particular areas. This will include the use of light, shadow and colour.
You’ll learn to use your brush to make your work more engaging, changing your grip, stroke style, brush size and amount of paint.
This workshop caters for all levels from beginners to those who paint regularly. It’ll be fun and friendly, with 1-to-1 guidance and using reference photos for inspiration. The day will be all about being creative and enjoying the painting process plus you’ll leave feeling inspired, and with a new painting!
Cost inclusive of materials; £60. Places limited to 10 participants.
