Clare has been working for over thirty years creating lithographs, screenprints, linocuts and oil paintings of monumental female figures. Her prints are limited editions and each one is hand-printed and then coloured by hand in her studios.
The narratives of the figures and their worlds are open to interpretation by the viewer.
“Our lives are in constant flux, but we quickly move on. I like to pause and then capture some of these moments in time. Moments of indecision, contentment, confusion, fun or wonder.”
Clare also has a collection of silver and enamelled jewellery, which allows her to indulge in a purely decorative art form. A nice foil to her 2D work.
