The Setting Gallery, Three Storeys, Nailsworth, GL6 0JE

‘Connections’ will feature an exhibit of landscapes, seascapes and floral paintings from local Amberley artist Alison Vickery.

‘Connections’ refers to the relationship that Alison has with the subjects that inspire her, the connection the paintings have with the viewer, and the connections she makes through her teaching and workshops.

Alison is inspired by the beautiful Cotswold landscape, particularly when caught in the changing light and colours of the seasons. Drawn to local waterways and their reflections, Alison also makes frequent visits to the coast to capture different moods from ferocious stormy waves to gentle ripples.

Flowers have also always been an inspiration, catching their character, essence and fleeting nature, from the first brave snowdrop to the swathes of hardy flowers that fill the borders in the Summer with a riot of colour. Drawn to local waterways and their reflections, Alison also makes frequent visits to the coast to capture different moods from ferocious stormy waves to gentle ripples.

*Alison will be running two Workshops during the exhibition, and will be in the gallery on all other days between 11am and 1pm.
