A joint exhibition of contemporary art and ceramics.
The Setting gallery, Three Storeys, Old Bristol Rd, Nailsworth, GL6 0JE
Julia Godden is one of our resident tenants here at Three Storeys. Her current body of work is titled ‘Contained Freedom’ and explores both conscious and subconscious processes using line and loose marks as the focus and referencing the Stroud Canal paths and bridges as both an anchor to a local place and as metaphor.
Rebecca Simmons completed her MA at the Chelsea College of Art and currently works as a ceramicist and art teacher in Stroud.
Her inspiration often comes from painterly doodles that she then converts into three dimensional forms. Rebecca produces totemic pieces that emanate from playful processes, creating dream like worlds and scenarios.
