Liberation of Substance - A joint exhibition and series of workshops
The Setting, Three Storeys, Old Bristol Rd, Nailsworth, GL6 0JE. Tuesday 6th June - Sunday 18th June 2023
Three artists collaborate to explore the interplay between creativity, womanhood and the importance of self nurture.
Botanical artist Karen Green, painter Cheryl Perrett and ceramicist Charlie Clarke share how harnessing female rhythms and cycles; and learnt and inherited wisdoms inform relationships with their chosen materials, subject matter and creative processes.
Throughout Karen’s close study of flora, fruits, folklore and symbology, Cheryl’s release of colour, adventure and movement and Charlie’s immersion into sensuality, lyricism and the chemistry between earth, water, air and fire; this exhibition communicates the rich symbiosis between the female experience and artistic expression. Both Exhibition and workshops invite you to enjoy the healing and energising power of finding a flow state when creating.
Paintings, prints, sketches, pots and ceramic art for sale.
Workshops - all abilities welcome and materials provided. Please contact the artists individually to book your place.
