Alison is a local artist inspired by light, colour and the beautiful natural world around us. This exhibition showcases her response to three favourite subjects in the wide range of media with which she works to create her fresh lively paintings.

Artist statement:  “ it is about capturing a fleeting moment of light, colour or movement. I spend a lot of time sketching, just looking and then making marks in response in whatever media. I like to experiment, keep the work fresh, see how it helps a piece evolve and take on a character of its own.

Some work is more studio based, perhaps more controlled, some is produced on the spot, freer more responsive, all is deeply felt.”
