Sun 17th October 2021, 11.00 am - 12.30 pm
The Setting, Three Storeys, Old Bristol Rd, Nailsworth, GL6 0JE
A facilitated tour of Stuart’s paintings exploring big themes both local and global.
As part of his current exhibition, The Cotswold Sea (so far, so close), running from 13th to the 17th and 20th to the 24th October, Stuart Voaden offers an opportunity for a facilitated tour of his paintings.
This is a free, relaxed and informal guided group session to engage with art appreciation and interpretation, through a well established process of questioning including: ‘What’s going on in this painting…?!’.
Open to all. Arrive from 11.00 for a prompt start at 11.30 to 12.30, Sunday 17th October, The Setting gallery, Three Stories, Old Bristol Road, GL6 0JE.
A statement from artist Stuart Voaden:
‘Art interpretation and appreciation - how do I do that in a fun and enjoyable way with others? We know that art is somehow important, but many of us are not sure how or why. Especially if we haven’t had a formal art education, are not part of the ‘professional’ art world or just unsure about how to begin to appreciate or interpret art? Is that even allowed with contemporary art? What’s the way in?
Join me, Stuart Voaden, as part of my Three Storeys exhibition, for an informal experiential workshop exploring just this. I have an enjoyable and informative process for sharing with each other - 'what's going on in this picture, and what more do you see?'
