Sophie Learmont is an artisan maker with a background in architecture and design, who has taken her love of texture and form to smaller scale. From her base in Gloucestershire she designs and hand crafts a small number of ceramic pieces, drawing on inspiration from the natural world for decorative themes and colour palettes. She uses Staffordshire stoneware clay and a careful choice of slips and blended glazes to create depth, tactility and surface interest.
