‘Still/Life’ is a combined display of work by feltmaker Sarah Brooker, and collage artist Jacqui Mair, celebrating a moment in time when the domestic interior was a main focus, and using an eclectic mix of materials - Jacqui, paper collage, Sarah, appliquéd fabric and felt textiles.
This linked exhibition complements Sarah’s solo show (Shrink/Wrap) in our gallery space, The Setting, which is in the next door room.
Jacqui Mair studied Fine Art at Bristol Polytechnic UK and gained a first class with honours in printmaking. She went on to take her M.A. in printmaking at the Royal College of Art London. Over the past thirty five years she has combined lecturing at various institutions with her work as an artist. She has exhibited on three continents and has established an international career.
