'...a cloud that followed an earthly map'

An exhibition of paintings exploring big themes both local and global.

A statement from artist Stuart Voaden:
We were already living in 'interesting times' with for me the complex spectre of 'climate change' moving from my peripheral view to front and centre, when a pandemic hit!

I live in South Devon with its beautiful coast and mythical Dartmoor to hand, but I'm from round here, the Cotswolds, a Gloucestershire boy....is where I'm from, or better still, of!

I will mostly be showing paintings produced during an intense deep dive artist residency at Victoria Works Studios, in Chalford, since June. A rediscovery time for me of the magic that's in the air of the Stroud Valleys.

There are many ways to make sense and meaning, and as an artist, I find art and art making the place to go when it's difficult to know 'which way is up'

I find the 'deep time' journey notion of 'The Cotswold Sea' a compelling thought and fascinating exploration.....if you're intrigued to know more then I'd love to show you

I love artist studio conversations - please join me at Three Storeys gallery space for the time to wander through weird and wonderful worlds - past/present/future
